Parc du Massif du Sud is partially located on public lands. For this reason, during the fall, some areas of the park are frequented by hunters, especially during the Virginia deer and moose hunting seasons.

That said, public lands are shared territory that can be used by both hunters and hikers. For this reason, we keep most of our trail network accessible to hikers even during hunting periods, but within the context of shared territory.

Parc du Massif du Sud is located in Quebec’s Zone 3 East for hunting.

Please be aware of and follow the regulations for sport hunting at all times.

Certain areas should be avoided during the hunting periods, specifically from September 21 to October 20, 2024, and from November 9 to 24, 2024, which are the firearm hunting seasons.

We invite you to consult the map below to plan your next visit.

Thank you for your valuable cooperation!
